    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

      Description

      For the Java Agent

Text in Release notes for connection pooling reads

"Properties have been added for HTTP connection pooling. Use connection pooling to improve performance when AM is available over low bandwidth connections, or to throttle the maximum number of connections made by the Java Agent. For more information, see "Connection Pooling" in the User Guide."

and in user guide it reads

"Use connection pooling to improve performance when AM is available over low bandwidth connections, or to throttle the maximum number of connections made by the Java Agent.
When AM is available over high bandwidth connections, connection pooling can reduce performance.
Enable and configure connection pooling with the bootstrap properties listed in Properties for Connection Pooling."

From discussion with team, we would like to change the text so that it reads something like this in the release notes and similarly in user guide.

      Release Notes
      _______________

"Use connection pooling to control the number of connections made by the Java Agent to AM. Connection pooling is switched off by default. For more information, see "Connection Pooling" in the User Guide."

      User Guide
      ____________
"Use connection pooling to control the number of connections made by the Java Agent to AM. When AM is available over a high bandwith connection, connection pooling may reduce performance. Enable and configure connection pooling with the bootstrap properties listed in Properties for Connection Pooling"
