      Description

      Bug description

Under Server Defaults - Advanced there is an entry "com.iplanet.am.directory.ssl.enabled" which is by default set to false, this value doesn't change if you add a directory server with ssl, neither does it change the setting of a directory server if you change the value to true. We cannot see any reference to this in the source code to suggest it should do anything and cannot find any documentation to say what it should do, a customer was concerned that it was still set to false after they thought they had enabled SSL when adding their datastore and suggested it is removed if it no longer serves a function as it could cause confusion (someone might set this to true and believe their directory data is being securely transmitted when it is not).

If it does do something then the documentation needs to be updated to detail this better.
