      Description

OAuth allows for the use of extension grants (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6749), and there are several products that allow for the implementation of custom grant types. Some useful scenarios are access token translation (STS is focused more on ID tokens), legacy non-UMA delegation, and resource owner grants that involve alternate credentials.

One way to implement this is by allowing customers to (a) write extensions to the GrantTypeHandler class and (b) associate the class with an extension grant type in the OAuth 2.0 provider advanced configuration, similar to the current response type handler option.
