Cluster doesn't recognize forcibly killed node on windows

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Major
    • Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
    • Affects Version/s: OpenIDM 6.0.0, 6.5.0
    • Fix Version/s: 6.5.0
    • Environment:
      OPENIDM 6.0.0-RC10 and externa dj 6.0.0-RC3 as repo on windows server 2012

      Cluster doesn't recognize forcibly (windows equivalent to kill -9) killed node on windows. I tried it with OPENIDM 6.0.0-RC10 and external dj 6.0.0-RC3 as repo on windows server 2012. Also I tried it with automated test with mssql db. So it looks as environment problem because on linux it works OK.

      How to reproduce
      1. install cluster with 2 nodes with external dj as repo by doc
      2. run dj and nodes with default conf folder
      3. kill one node (I killed through windows Task Manager)
      4. wait 1 minute and then check cluster state by rest or by ui

      curl  --header "X-OpenIDM-Username: openidm-admin"  --header "X-OpenIDM-Password: openidm-admin"  --request GET  "http://localhost:9080/openidm/cluster?_queryId=query-cluster-instances" | jq .

      and we get this:

        "result": [
            "_id": "node1",
            "instanceId": "node1",
            "startup": "2018-05-03T12:59:26.181Z",
            "shutdown": "",
            "state": "running"
            "_id": "node2",
            "instanceId": "node2",
            "startup": "2018-05-03T12:59:55.737Z",
            "shutdown": "",
            "state": "running"
        "resultCount": 2,
        "pagedResultsCookie": null,
        "totalPagedResultsPolicy": "NONE",
        "totalPagedResults": -1,
        "remainingPagedResults": -1

      How you can see both nodes states are running but node1 in my cause was killed ..
