      Description

      Currently the timestamps in our logs have a granularity of seconds. In order to properly analyze performance problems it would be extremely helpful to include milliseconds in the log output. This can be achieved by adding the line

      java.util.logging.SimpleFormatter.format = %1$tb %1$td, %1$tY %1$tl:%1$tM:%1$tS.%1$tL %1$Tp %2$s%n%4$s: %5$s%6$s%n

      in logging.properties. This is the default log string used by the jdk, adding the %1$tL for milliseconds. This has helped support to analyze some customer cases, it would be helpful to have this turned on by default.
