      Description

      In the "Chapter 18. Connecting to DS With ScriptedREST" and "Chapter 19. Connecting to DS With the Scripted Common REST Connector" the following command cannot be executed on Windows platform. It fails with

      The value "(target="ldap:///cn=changelog")(targetattr="*" is not a valid value

      for the "global-aci" property, which must have the following syntax: ACI

      The system cannot find the path specified.

      There is a parsing issue of the pipe character.

      c:\Apps\opendj\bat\dsconfig.bat ^

      set-access-control-handler-prop ^

       --hostname localhost ^

       --port 4444 ^

       --bindDN "cn=Directory Manager" ^

       --bindPassword password ^

       --add global-aci:"(target=\"ldap:///cn=changelog\")(targetattr=\"*||+\")(version 3.0; acl \"IDM can access cn=changelog\"; allow (read,search,compare) userdn=\"ldap:///uid=idm,ou=Administrators,dc=example,dc=com\";)" ^

       --trustAll ^

       --no-prompt

      Can  we use simple ldapmodify instead?

      ldapmodify

      dn: cn=Access Control Handler,cn=config
      changetype: modify
      add: ds-cfg-global-aci
      ds-cfg-global-aci: (target="ldap:///cn=changelog")(targetattr="*||+")(version
       3.0; acl "IDM can access cn=changelog"; allow (read,search,compare) userdn="l
       dap:///uid=idm,ou=Administrators,dc=example,dc=com";)
