1- It should me stated that the source query filter is (also) evaluated in the source phase, to determine whether or not entries qualify as valid source entries: at the moment, only the “validSource” and “sourceCondition” properties are mentioned to filter out source entries in the source phase.
2- It should me stated that the source query filter is ignored during the target phase. At least as far as IDM works that way, since it could change in the future.
3- In the section: https://backstage.forgerock.com/docs/idm/6.5/integrators-guide/#d3132e25524 , it’s stated: “Does the target object have a corresponding valid source object?“.
I would rather state “Does the target object have a corresponding source object (valid or not) ?“
The reason for that is related to the 2nd point above: since IDM ignores the source query filter during the target phase, source entries that don't match the source query filter (and thus that are not valid source objects) are considered as valid during the target phase.
