Password replay is essential to integrate with "black box" applications which cannot be changed to integrate with SSO. Password replay represents a immediate value add of IG in these situations.
Integration with "black box" application is hard for any customer and generally an obstacle in deploying IAM. Making this easy for customers and users addresses this major pain point.
With IG Studio, a user shall be able to setup the password replay for a target resource which requires form-based login.
Passwords shall be sourced from 3 possible vaults: file, sql database or from OpenAM (via session/token/JWT). The OpenAM option shall not require installation of a J2EE agent - a combination with the recent OpenAM authentication filter shall be sufficient.
One additional challenge in procedure is to understand the login page of the target application to construct the appropriate request (often an HTTP-POST) containing username and password. It is not part of this ticket to build a tool to test password replay with test credentials and the target application.
With the UI, a configuration developer shall be able to setup password replay against a target application sourcing credentials from file, sql or OpenAM token/session/JWT.
