The proxy should detect whether the proxy schema matches the schema published by the backend LDAP service. For example, the proxy could compare schema definitions when first connecting to the backend LDAP service on startup.

If the schema definitions do not match, the proxy should log an appropriately worded error for the administrator:

• Identifying the problem, and the impact that it will have for clients using the proxy
• Describing how to fix the problem
